Ronald “Ted” Harmon

Ronald “Ted” Harmon, 73 of Whiteland, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

He was born on April 26, 1950 in Franklin, Indiana to Charles Thomas and Glenna Lenore (Roush) Harmon. Ted married Vicki (Adams) Harmon on April 6, 1974. He is survived by their children, Kelly J. Harmon and Kevin M. Harmon (Samantha); grandchildren, Gavin Harmon and Wyatt Harmon; and his siblings, Brenda Aldorisio (Walter), Barbara Poursoltan (Ahmad), David Harmon (Cheryl), Scott Harmon (Susan), Loretta Hanner and Trica Campbell and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his stepmother, Charlene Harmon. He was preceded in passing by his parents and brother, Gene Harmon.

Ted was a 1968 graduate of Whiteland High School and received his Associates Degree from Indiana Business College. He was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973, serving during the Vietnam War.

He was employed as a cable technician for Indiana Bell, now AT&T for forty-one years, retiring in 2010.

Ted was a member of the Indy RC South Club and the Historic Auto Club. He loved his old cars, enjoyed woodworking, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Brandon Jolley will conduct a Celebration of Ted’s life on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation on Monday, November 20th from 12:00 p.m. to time of service at the funeral home. Military Honors will be conducted following the service.
