Franklin College’s #GRIZTuesday fundraiser exceeds goal by 21%

#GrizTuesday, Franklin College’s Giving Tuesday campaign, broke a record again.

Donors demonstrated overwhelming support for Franklin College’s #GRIZTuesday day of giving campaign on Tuesday. The college exceeded its 24-hour fundraising goal, raising $180,871 and surpassing the target of $150,000 by 21%. Proceeds from the day of giving this year will support the college’s athletic programs.

“We extend our deepest appreciation to all our donors and sponsors who wholeheartedly backed us on GRIZTuesday. The overwhelming support from our alumni, friends, faculty, staff, students, parents, sponsors and community members was nothing short of remarkable once again this year,” Dana Cummings, vice president for institutional advancement, said in a statement.

The college raised money on various communication platforms including social media and other college-owned communication channels to market the day of giving.

Vice President Andrew Hendricks said in a statement the funds raised on #GRIZTuesday will be a key in providing a memorable college experience for student-athletes.

“While academics are central to the experience at Franklin, athletics greatly enhance it, and our donors consistently show incredible support,” he said. “Thanks to their generosity, our student-athletes will benefit from a well-rounded college experience, including unique leadership opportunities and valuable teamwork experiences.”

Miller Transportation was the primary sponsor for the day, with Dunn & Associates lending their support as an additional lead sponsor.
