Johnson County Commissioners seek people to serve on boards

The Johnson County Commissioners are seeking individuals to serve on the following boards.

Plan Commission (two board members, four-year term) – interested applicants must have voted as a Democrat in the last two primary elections or have not voted in the last two primary elections; and be a resident in unincorporated Johnson County or a resident of Johnson County who is also an owner of real property located in whole or in part of Unincorporated Johnson County.

Board of Zoning Appeals (one board member, four-year term) – interested applicants must live or own property in unincorporated Johnson County; and must also serve as a member of the Johnson County Plan Commission.

Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals (one board member, one-year term) – interested applicants must have voted as a Democrat in the last two primary elections or has not voted in the last two primary elections; be knowledgeable in the valuation of property; and cannot be an appraiser employed in Johnson County.

Hensley Fire Protection District Board – Union Township (one board members, four-year term) – interested applicants must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district; and must reside within Hensley Fire Protection District and Union Township.
