The local author of a new Christmas book will host storytime and book signings this weekend at the Greenwood Barnes & Noble branch.
Tyler G. Mitchell, who penned “Double Trouble and the Upside Down Christmas Tree,” will make his appearance at 11 a.m. Saturday at the store, 1251 U.S. 31 N., Greenwood. Snacks will be available for storytime, and guests can pick up a signed copy of the book as well.
Mitchell is a Franklin Township resident and active duty U.S. Army stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky. His book is a story about a young family with three children, two of whom are twin toddlers who are experts at getting into trouble. This is especially true when it comes to their Christmas tree, prompting their dad to get creative and hang it from the ceiling to keep their little hands off it.
The story is based on Mitchell’s experience growing up in the small southern Indiana town of Boonville.
The event is free and open to the public.
