Franklin

Hit and Run

101 Hurricane St., Boys and Girls Club: A man reported at 12:34 a.m. Thursday that his vehicle had been hit by what appeared to be some sort of trailer hitch on a truck or SUV in the parking lot on the previous night.

Residential Entry

1000 block of Mosswood Circle: Residents reported at 9:48 p.m. Tuesday that they heard rattling at the back sliding door and saw someone in their backyard.

Theft

2515 N. Morton St., Duke Energy: A man reported at 12:37 p.m. Tuesday that two separate thefts had occurred in the back parking lot over the last month and he also stated that over $1,000 of copper wiring was stolen from the top of his work vehicle.

Personal-injury accident

3:12 p.m. Tuesday – E. Main St. and I-65. Jerome Klimas-McKenzie, 57, Brazil. Klimas-McKenzie reported having pain and injury to his knee/lower leg/foot.

2:12 p.m. Wednesday – Smith Valley Road and Yorktown Road

Thefts

50 Airport Parkway, Oaken Barrel: Reported at 9:16 p.m. Wednesday that a theft had occurred.

1133 N. Emerson Ave., Walmart: Reported at 8:52 p.m. Wednesday that a man was arrested for theft with prior conviction and possession of paraphernalia.

1251 U.S. 31 N., Dick’s Sporting Goods: Reported at 3:57 p.m. Wednesday that shoplifting had occurred.

1287 U.S. 31 S., Lockhart Cadillac: Reported at 1:21 p.m. Wednesday the theft of a vehicle from the dealership had occurred.

700 block of Greenwood Springs Drive: Reported at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday that a theft had occurred.

Johnson County

Criminal Mischief

1000 block of Hospital Road, Franklin: Reported at 3:58 p.m. Wednesday that vandalism had occurred.

Narcotics

560 N. State Road 135, Marathon, Greenwood: A deputy reported at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday that during a traffic stop for a tinted license plate cover that blocked the expiration information he detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After a search, marijuana was found and the driver was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, another for operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license, he was also issued a ticket for expired plates and warned for not having insurance and failure to signal, he was released from the scene and the vehicle was impounded.

Dominique S. Pitcher, 22, Paragon; arrested on charges of probation violation; held without bond.

Stanley James Willoughby, 39, Franklin; arrested on a charge of contempt; released on $250 bond.

Joshua Blair, 38, New Whiteland; arrested on a charge of parole violation; held without bond.

Brandon William Hockman, 48, Indianapolis; arrested on two Johnson County warrants; bond information unavailable.

Philip Allan Hart, 34, Indianapolis; arrested on a Johnson County warrant; held without bond.

Joshua Andrew Burton, 28, Edinburgh; arrested on charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, weapon of violence-pointing a firearm, attempted murder and intimidation with a deadly weapon; held on $45,500 bond.

William Thornburgh, 41, Indianapolis; arrested on charges of theft from a vehicle and possession of paraphernalia; held on $4,400 bond.

Santiago O. Alonso, 21, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license; held on $1,000 bond.

The following people were recently arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and booked into the Johnson County jail:

Corey E. Horton, 37, Indianapolis; also arrested on charges of resisting law enforcement using a vehicle and interfering with public safety; held on $3,000 bond.
