Edinburgh was defeated at Speedway on Wednesday, 54-25. Kenna Streeval had eight points and Alix Streeval seven for the Lancers (3-14).

Women’s basketball nips Engineers

In a game that was close throughout, Franklin College pulled ahead in the third quarter and held on for an 82-80 triumph at Rose-Hulman on Wednesday night. Payton Seay and Maddie Barnes had 15 points apiece to lead the Grizzlies (9-3, 4-1 HCAC), who also got 13 from Jordan Coon, 11 from CiCi Bailey with nine apiece from Lauren Barker and Lauryn Bates.

Men’s basketball survives at home

Malachi Archey scored 18 points, including a pair of game-sealing free throws with three seconds to go, as Franklin College pulled out a 64-61 home win over Rose-Hulman. Jessie Morgan Jr. added 14 points for the Grizzlies (5-7, HCAC), followed by Ryan Bostic with nine and Jesse Faires with eight.
