Linda S. Richards

TRAFALGAR

Linda S. (Yeich) Richards, age 77 passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 31, 2023 at Compass Park in Franklin. She was a resident of Trafalgar.

Linda was born to Albert J. and Virginia B. (McGriff) Yeich on July 21, 1946 in Plymouth. She attended Union High School and was a member of the “Union Girls”. Linda was retired from the Marathon Station in Morgantown, where she was a loyal 10-year employee who was known by the owners and her co-workers as “Linda Mom”. Prior to that, she worked for Speedway as a Manager in both the Frankin and Taylorsville locations.

Linda was known as an “Iron Lady” who lived a great life despite several health challenges, including the loss of her husband John, whom she loved dearly. Linda will be missed and remembered for years to come for the life she lived and as a strong lady with sincerity, hard work and a heart full of love.

Linda enjoyed fishing with her husband and raising &riding horses. She was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University Men’s Basketball Team. Linda was an avid reader of Nora Robert novels and enjoyed listening to music and concert going, especially to see Gene Watson.

Linda was preceded in death on April 20, 2016 by her loving husband, John W. Richards; whom she married on September 30, 1998 in Franklin. Linda was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Steven Lee Yeich and Larry Yeich; and a brother-in-law, Jimm McLochlin.

Linda is survived by her loving children, Nikole (Jim) Mull of New Whiteland, Tina (Gary) Lape of Trafalgar &Anthony Lykins of Indianapolis; siblings, Carol McLochlin of Atlanta, GA, Kristy (Tom) Myer of Lebanon, Daniel (Rebecca) Yeich of Atlanta, GA, Teresa (David) Bennett of Brown County, Rebecca (Bill) Frisbie of New Whiteland &Jeffrey (Cindy) Yeich of Franklin; sister-in-law, Donna Yeich of Cecil, OH; several grandchildren, great grandchildren &nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 13th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Johnson County Shrine Club, 751 W. King Street in Franklin. Services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation &Personalization Center in Morgantown.
