College notebook: Traylor-Walker leads Radford women to win

Sophomore guard Ashlyn Traylor-Walker led Radford women’s basketball with 18 points, four rebounds and a steal in the team’s 80-53 loss at Vanderbilt. In a 65-61 triumph at High Point, the Franklin graduate poured in 27 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds.

Franklin

Huntington freshman guard Kyndell Jochim scored five points, had five rebounds and two steals in the team’s 88-74 victory over visiting Ohio Christian. She had five points in an 85-67 win at Mt. Vernon (Ohio).

Franklin College freshman Dylan Beverly finished with two points, four rebounds and two blocks in the Grizzlies’ 68-65 loss to Manchester.

Center Grove

Indiana Wesleyan freshman Marcus Ankney finished with 15 points, three rebounds and three assists in a 93-65 victory over visiting Rochester. In the team’s 71-66 win at Spring Arbor, Ankney had six points, three boards and two assists.

Bellarmine guard Landin Hacker had two assists and a steal in the team’s 90-85 loss at High Point.

Truman State guard Claire Rake had six points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals in the team’s 80-54 home loss to the University of Indianapolis.

Bentley graduate student Ella Thompson scored 15 points, passed out four assists and had three rebounds as the Falcons improved to 9-2 with a 68-58 victory over Assumption.

Denver junior guard Mary Wilson scored three points in the team’s 95-64 loss at Oral Roberts.

Whiteland

Junior guard Logan Willoughby had 10 points, three boards and three assists for Manchester men’s basketball in a 68-65 victory at Franklin College. Freshman Austin Willoughby finished with eight points and three rebounds for the Spartans.

Greenwood

Junior forward Gavin Dowling scored six points, grabbed two rebounds and blocked a shot for Anderson men’s basketball in its 75-64 win at Rose-Hulman. He had eight points, three boards and two assists in the Ravens’ 92-80 conquest of visiting Hanover.

Taylor women’s basketball lost at Grace College, 82-65, with Trojans’ sophomore Quinn Kelly totaling two points, three rebounds and three assists.
