Margaret H. “Maggy” Paris

INDIANAPOLIS

Margaret H. “Maggy” (Woodall) Paris, 72, of Indianapolis, IN passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana in Columbus, IN surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 18, 1951, in Franklin, IN. Her father was Ivan Woodall and her mother was Geneva (Bray) Woodall Bowen.

Maggy was a 1969 graduate of Franklin Community High School.

She had been a production team leader for Arvin Automotive in Franklin, IN and previously a QMA at the Indiana Masonic Home.

Maggy enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing bingo, and watching cowboy shows. Maggy also had many friends she socialized with and her Bible study group she daily attended. Maggy enjoyed attending her friends group at Hellenic Senior Living in Indianapolis where she resided.

Survivors include her daughter Chasity A.R. Settles (Brian) of Corbin, KY, a son William R. “Billy” Ballenger (Jodie) of Ft. Wayne, IN, four grandchildren Arminda Ballenger, Jared Ballenger (Lauren), William Fish and Robert Fish, eight great-grandchildren, Timothy Murray longtime companion united in love for 24 years of Indianapolis, IN, sisters Patricia Bechert (Joe) of Franklin, IN, Rebecca Black (Jim) of Franklin, IN and Brenda Caldwell (Jim) of Shelbyville, IN, brothers William Woodall (Joy) of Whiteland, IN, Arlen Woodall (Brenda) of Trafalgar, IN David Woodall (Pam) of North Vernon, IN, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ivan Woodall and Geneva (Bray) Woodall Bowen, her sons Ivan Keith Elmore and Jackie Lee Elmore, sisters Glenda Sanders and Mary Richards, a brother Daniel Woodall and her former spouses Edward Elmore and Donald Shaw.

Pastor Tim Bond will conduct a memorial service on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 2:30PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 1PM until service time at the mortuary. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery.
