Anna “Catherine” Weddle

Anna “Catherine” (Hall) Weddle, 89, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was a resident of Greenwood and former resident of Trafalgar, Indiana.She was born on February 14, 1934 in Liberty, Kentucky to Harlan and Ruth (Allen) Hall. She married Dewey Weddle who preceded her in death. She later married Howard Mitchell who also preceded her in passing. She is survived by daughters, Karen Weddle-Carter, Connie Cunningham, Candace Banton (Sam) and Lisa Alexander (Matt); son, Shawn Weddle; brothers, Harold Hall and Gary Hall and grandchildren, Shelley Carter, Matthew Kee, Andrea Hatfield and Eric Alexander; great grandchildren, Kyle, Ethan, Trenton, Logan and Madison and great-great grandson, Karter. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband of fifty-two years, Dewey Weddle; husband of seventeen years, Howard Mitchell; and siblings, Roy, Archie, Raymond, Mabel, Hazel, Hubert and William.Catherine was a homemaker. She also worked at Armstrong Drug Store in Morgantown, VanWinkle Grocery Store, Johnson Memorial Hospital in the OB Nursery and Indian Creek High School Cafeteria. She was a member of the Franklin Church of the Nazarene and attended Franklin Faith Chapel Church. She enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith episodes and enjoyed doing wordscape puzzles. She most enjoyed and loved spending time with her family. A celebration of Catherine’s life will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation on Friday, January 26th from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Martinsville, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Faith Chapel Church, 401 E.
