MORGANTOWN
Lora Lee Schroeder, 70, died at her home peacefully with her family beside her on January 22, 2024. She was a resident of Morgantown.
Lora was born on July 23, 1953 in Martinsville to Claude Schroeder and Ruth (Schroeder) Robinson.
She is survived by her mother, Ruth Robinson; daughters, Robyn Ford and Rachel Ford; grandchildren, Nazrana Nazaire, Baylee Ford, Gavin Ford, Brinley Ford, Logan Ford-Beachler; brother, Mike Schroeder; sister-in-law, Debbie Schroder; and daughter-in-laws, Heather (Brock) Ford and Jessi (Adams) Ford.
She was preceded in passing by her father, Claude; and sons, Paul Ford and Lucas Ford.
Lora was a 1971 graduate of Indian Creek High School.
Lora worked as the Clerk Treasurer of Morgantown. She later retired from Mutual Savings Bank in Franklin.
Lora enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and was an excellent seamstress. She loved going to the beach. She loved cooking and feeding people. She was also an avid gardener. Her favorite place to be was in her flower garden, barefoot and drinking coffee. Lora enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life.
There will be no services at this time. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
