100 block of E. South St.: A woman reported at 5:39 p.m. Thursday that her son’s checking account had been overdrawn by someone cashing a fraudulent check.

Theft
2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: A loss prevention employee reported at 2:46 p.m. Thursday that she saw someone skip scanning payments, failed to pay after their card was declined, then left the store with the items.

Battery
898 E. Main St., Valle Vista Hospital: Reported at 9:51 a.m. Thursday that a battery involving a juvenile had occurred.
Hit and Run
Fry Road and U.S. 31 N.: Reported at 10:23 p.m. Thursday that a hit and run had occurred.
Narcotics
E. County Line Road and N. Meridian St.: Reported at 2:33 a.m. Friday a juvenile was arrested for the possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license and curfew violation and released to their guardian.
Personal-injury accident
1:45 p.m. Thursday – Main St. and Combs Road. David Craig, 74, Indianapolis. Craig reported having internal injury to his chest area.

750 U.S. 31 N., Tom O’Brien Chrysler: Reported at 1:44 p.m. Thursday that a theft had occurred.

Fraud
6000 block of N. County Road 125 W., Whiteland: Reported at 2:56 p.m. Thursday that a fraud had occurred.
Narcotics
I-69 S. at mile marker 157, Greenwood: A officer reported at 12:38 p.m. Thursday that during a traffic stop for speeding, while talking to the driver he detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the car. The driver admitted to having marijuana in the car and handed several containers with marijuana inside them to the officer, the driver was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and a issued a warning for the speeding infraction.
