Men’s basketball suffers defeat
Mount St. Joseph staged a second-half rally to pull out a 63-58 win at Franklin College on Wednesday night. Lynn King finished with 21 points in a losing cause for the Grizzlies (10-10, 8-5 HCAC), who got nine points from Ryan Bostic and eight each from Cody Samples and Malachi Archey.
Women’s basketball falls to Lions
A 15-point first-quarter deficit was too much for Franklin College to overcome in a 91-78 loss at Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday. Taylor Cooney and Lauryn Bates scored 16 points apiece for the Grizzlies (12-8, 7-6 HCAC), with Payton Seay adding 15 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Coon and Briley Munchel chipped in 10 points each.
