Woman arrested following Urmeyville shooting with serious injury

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office officially made an arrest in the Monday shooting incident in Urmeyville.

Alicia Marie Haupt, 33, of Franklin was arrested on preliminary felony charges of attempted murder, auto theft and pointing a firearm. A probable cause affidavit will be sent to the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office to decide what, if any, charges to file.

The sheriff’s office responded at 11:46 a.m. Monday to a “person shot” incident at a home in the 3000 block of N. County Road 625 East in Urmeyville, northeast of Franklin. Jacob Pascal Harville, 35, of Franklin was injured in the shooting and remains at Franciscan Hospital in serious condition, according to a press release sheriff’s office.

Haupt’s address on jail bookings matches the one where the alleged shooting took place.

Detectives are still collecting evidence and information in this ongoing investigation. More information will be released when it is available.

Haupt remains at the Johnson County jail.
