Lee Logan

GREENWOOD

Lee Logan, 61, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on Feb. 3, 2024. He was on born on Nov. 11, 1962 in Franklin, Indiana, to Mary Alice (Willis) Logan and Larry L. Logan, Sr.

Lee attended Clearwater High School in Clearwater, Florida, where he was a multi-sport athlete. He graduated from Franklin Community High School in 1982 and attended Indiana Central (University of Indianapolis) for three years where he was a member of the Greyhound football team. Lee had a stellar high school football career, where he was named All-South Central Conference for Defensive Tackle and Lineman of the Year. He had 18 sacks in one season and a total of 33 career sacks.

He started his professional driving career working for UPS in San Diego, CA, later transferring to San Antonio, TX. Upon returning to Indiana, Lee worked for Monarch Beverage and most recently the United States Post Office in downtown Indianapolis.

Lee enjoyed everything outdoors. He loved to go hiking and birdwatching at Brown County State Park. He also liked to go fishing and was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. He was passionate about this Catholic faith and was a past usher at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in downtown Indianapolis. It was a special time that he shared with his son, as Lex was an altar server. He was also an active member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (Franklin Lodge).

Lee is survived by his son, Lex Logan, of Greenwood, IN. Other survivors include sister, Linda Henderson (Mark) of Franklin, IN; Larry Logan, Jr. (Melissa) of San Antonio, TX; and his loving ex-wife Lee Ann Abercrombie-Logan of Greenwood, IN. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Alice (Willis) Logan, and father Larry L. Logan, Sr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 9 from 4 pm to 7 pm, at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., Franklin, IN. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10:30 am at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
