TRAFALGAR

Almedia Fay (Smith) Clark, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Otterbein Franklin Senior Life Community. She was a lifelong resident of Trafalgar.

Almedia was born March 15, 1937 in Trafalgar, to her parents, the late James and Dorothy (Haggard) Smith. She was a 1955 graduate of Trafalgar High School and later married Orvle Clark on December 12, 1962. He lovingly survives.

Almedia retired as a Property Manager in Indianapolis after 20 years of service. She enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower gardens and spending time in Inverness, Florida during Indiana winters. Almedia bowled for several years and would compete in the Women’s International Bowling Congress tournaments throughout Indiana and the United States. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping and horseback riding. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be missed by her children, Chip (Sarah) Clark and Shellie (Tim) Parr both of Nineveh; grandchildren, Devyn Parr, Whitney (Jacob) Burkett and Dustyn Parr. She is also survived by her siblings, Eva Ann Chilman of Seymour, Patsy Clark of Franklin and Betty Lockhart of Greenwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Leona, and siblings, Jim Smith, Phyllis Doty, and Tom Smith.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 16th at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation &Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will be held later at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
