Craig E. Curry, 70, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Community South Hospital, Greenwood, Indiana.

Craig was born September 15, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to the late George E. and Eddee (Casad) Curry. Craig received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois and his Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Chicago. Craig was a consultant with Protect the Harvest where he protected the freedoms of Americans by supporting agriculture, land use, hunting, and fishing of animal welfare. He was instrumental in the development of the Indiana Council of Animal Welfare (ICAW) in 2009, where their mission was to protect and preserve the animals of Indiana and safeguard the rights of responsible animal owners and breeding professionals through education and sound legislative actions. In addition, Craig was instrumental in the development of the Canine Care Certified, a nationwide certification program that established rigorous standards for breeders through Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.

Craig’s passion of animal and agricultural welfare extended into the cause of A Free and Fed AmericaTM. His steadfast dedication to protecting the rights of Americans is deep-seated into his way of life. His experience in the corporate tech sector provided him the tools and expertise needed in order to circumnavigate the challenges he encountered with assisting others affected from extremist organizations at the international, national, state, and local levels. He made it his life mission and passion in helping others have a better way of life.

Craig was a Veteran of the United States Navy where he served during the Vietnam War. In his spare time, he enjoyed music where he was an avid blues supporter. He also enjoyed gardening; which he was a master gardener, traveling, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.

Craig is survived by his loving wife, Amy (Mougey) Curry; step son, Jeremy (Tobi) Harrell of Rogers, Arkansas; grandsons, Parx Harrell and Foster Harrell; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Owen and Mildred Reed, Sandusky Ohio; sisters-in-law Tammy (Brian) Kuns, Castalia, Ohio, Tracy Baker, Sandusky, Ohio; nephews Nathan (Sonia) Kuns, Elk Grove, California, Nicholas Kuns, Castalia, Ohio, Samuel Kuns, Bowling Green, Ohio, Caleb Kuns, Castalia, Ohio; niece Tessa (Dylan) Warren, Sandusky, Ohio; great nephews Elon Kuns, Luca Warren and Emerson Kuns; cousins and other relatives; his fur babies, Bentley and Simon, and cockatiel, Daisy.

A visitation for Craig will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
