Trojans run win streak to nine

Joey Schmitz scored a game-high 26 points and Jalen Bundy added 20 to lead Center Grove to its ninth consecutive victory, a 70-55 win at Mooresville on Tuesday night. Will Spellman added nine points for the Trojans (15-4), who made 20 of 24 shots from the foul line.

Lancers demolish Eels

Led by 25 points from Connor Ramey, Edinburgh cruised to a 74-29 home win over Eminence on Tuesday. Austin Brockman finished with 18 points and Lucas Seegers 17 for the Lancers (10-9).

Franklin College

Men’s basketball suffers home setback

Visiting Transylvania led nearly wire to wire in an 86-67 victory at Franklin College on Tuesday evening. Lynn King had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Grizzlies (12-12, 10-7 HCAC), with Jack Hendricks and Cooper Matthews scoring nine points apiece.

Women’s basketball falls to No. 2 Pioneers

Franklin College did its best to hang tough at defending national champion Transylvania on Tuesday before a lopsided fourth quarter doomed the Grizzlies to an 88-47 defeat. Jordan Coon led the Grizzlies (15-9, 10-7 HCAC) with a dozen points.
