Norma Jean Wilham Anders

Norma Jean (Grooms) Wilham Anders, 87, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin. In her final days, Norma was surrounded by her loving family and her dedicated caregivers.

She was born on February 6, 1936, in Franklin, Indiana to Jesse Grooms and Esther Mae (Wheeler) Grooms. She is survived by children, Terry Wilham of Greenwood, Jeff A. Wilham (Deena) of Franklin, Debby Wilham of Franklin and Steve Wilham of Franklin, Scott Anders (Carrie) of Noblesville; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Pile-Wilham of Edinburgh; sister, Sue Smith of Franklin; grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Wilham (Samantha) of Franklin, Jacey Wilham of Franklin, Chris Wilham (Shelby) of Whitestown, Jessica Wilham Columbia (Connor) of Columbus, Doug Anders of Noblesville, Zachary Anders (Ashlyn) of Hickory, North Carolina, Bradley Anders (Taylor) of Pendleton and great grandchildren, Devin R. Wilham of Franklin, Isabella Columbia of Columbus, Jackson Columbia of Columbus and Lincoln Scott Anders of Hickory, North Carolina. She was preceded in passing by her parents; son, Bobby Wilham; sisters, Ruthann Hensley and Shirley Watson; brother, Donnie Grooms and daughter-in-law, Debbie (Easton) Wilham.

Norma attended school in Franklin.

She had been employed by Roselyn Bakery, Brown’s Market and G.C. Murphy, all in Franklin. Norma was also a Nanny to many families.

She was a member of the Franklin Active Adult Center. Norma loved playing bingo, euchre and solitaire and working crossword and word search puzzles.

Norma loved following The Blue River Band. She was one of their biggest fans. She also enjoyed listening to Elvis. Norma loved spending time with friends and family, people watching at the mall and going out to eat, especially at Athens Restaurant in Franklin and McDonalds.

Rev. Jenothy Irvine will conduct a Celebration of Norma’s life on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation on Monday, February 19th from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
