Franklin

Identity Theft

2801 N. Morton St., police department: A man reported at 12:56 p.m. Thursday that he was at a staffing agency filling out an application and a employee advised him that someone using his same information is currently working through their staffing agency.

1000 block of Creekstone Way: A woman reported at 8:33 a.m. Thursday that someone was using her information to get a credit card.

Thefts

2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: A loss prevention employee reported at 2:32 p.m. Thursday that an employee had been caught skip scanning several items on several different occasions, she was issued a summons for theft.

1063 W. Jefferson St. Long River: The restaurant owner reported at 4:46 p.m. Thursday that a woman reached into their tip jar and grabbed about $30 in cash and then left the restaurant.

Narcotics

611 W. County Line Road: Reported at 10:50 p.m. Thursday that someone was issued a summons to appear for possession of marijuana.

Personal-injury accidents

3:15 p.m. Thursday – State Road 135 and Faith St. Johnny Kisner, 49, Greenwood. Kisner reported having minor bleeding with injury to his head. James Smith, 66, Franklin. Smith reported having pain and injury to his neck. Kristina Kisner, 46, Greenwood. Kisner reported having pain and injury to her knee/lower leg/foot. Cynthia Smith, 60, Franklin. Smith reported having pain and injury to her neck.

8:50 a.m. Thursday – Madison Ave. and Smith Valley Road. Kathryn Bolender, 21, Williamsburg, Ohio. Bolender reported having pain and injury to her abdomen/pelvis.

Thefts

1000 block of Kendrick St.: Reported at 7:55 a.m. Friday that a theft had occurred.

400 block of Newport Court: Reported at 11:19 p.m. Thursday the theft of a vehicle had occurred.

1138 N. Emerson Ave., BioLife Plasma Services: Reported at 3:06 p.m. Thursday that a theft had occurred.

600 block of Park Madison Court: Reported at 12:16 p.m. Thursday that a theft from a vehicle had occurred.

300 block of E. Stop 18: Reported at 11:48 a.m. Thursday that a theft had occurred.

1000 block of Cottonwood Court: Reported at 9:12 a.m. Thursday that a theft had occurred.

Johnson County

Battery

5000 block of Rocklane Road, Greenwood: Reported at 10:20 p.m. Thursday that a battery with injury had occurred.

Narcotics

W. Smith Valley Road and S. State Road 135, parking lot, Greenwood: A officer reported at 1:42 a.m. Friday that during a traffic he detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle narcotics were found. The driver was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of firearm by a serious violent felon.

100 block of N. I-69, Greenwood: A officer reported at 12:51 a.m. Friday that during a traffic stop for speeding he detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and saw a grinder on the center console of the vehicle. The driver was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and a summons for possession of paraphernalia.

Personal-injury accident

11:44 a.m. Thursday – I-65 at mile marker 91.4, Franklin. Audrey Schultz, 26, Lafayette. Schultz reported having injuries.

Property-damage accidents

11:50 a.m. Thursday – 8000 S. block of 250 W., Trafalgar

4:38 p.m. Wednesday – Fairview Road and Peterman Road, Greenwood

Dagoberto Sotelo-Arauz, 30, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle without ever obtaining license; held on $1,000 bond.
