Ronald Lynn “Ron” Gribble

GREENWOOD

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Lynn “Ron” Gribble at the age of 81, on February 15, 2024.

Ron was born on January 3, 1941, to Roy and Louise Gribble. He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1961. He served with the U. S. Navy, receiving an honorable discharge on December 29, 1969. Later, he attended Ball State University.

Ron was an active member of Greenwood United Methodist Church. He retired from Allison Transmission. His talents led him to have his own small flower business in his home where he created flowers for weddings and all occasions. He created displays at his church, for Thanksgiving, Worldwide Communion, Christmas, and Easter holidays.

On June 24, 1967, he married Judith Ann Castleman. This year they would have celebrated fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage.

In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his son, Jon in 2016.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; daughter, Stacey; grandson, Ryan and brother, Richard Gribble of Arizona. He will be missed by his furry babies, Pebbles, Brianna, Missy and his grand-dog, Dior.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 23, with visitation from 1:00 pm until time of service at Greenwood United Methodist Church. Burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to Greenwood United Methodist Church for any of the missions the church supports.

The family wishes to thank all of the doctors, nurses and Associate Chaplin, Dave Soucie, with St. Francis Hospital for the care provided to Ron.

Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel.
