Here’s what’s going on with I-69 the week of Feb. 26

Work on the the I-69 Finish Line Project continues this week.

Overhead sign work will lead to a single-lane closure on southbound State Road 37 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. today between Honey Creek and Olive Branch roads in White River Township. Drivers should also expect a single-lane closure just north of Stotts Creek and continuing for two miles on Interstate 69 northbound through May 2024 for embankment work. There may be intermittent 20-minute stoppages in this area for equipment movement, according to an Indiana Department of Transportation update.

Further north on the southside, a traffic shift is expected later this week at Southport Road.

Motorists should anticipate active construction crews and 20-minute stoppages from at 9 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday at Southport Road as crews work overnight to shift the southbound entrance ramp onto new pavement. Once work is complete, a new traffic pattern will be in place on the ramp from Southport Road to southbound State Road 37, according to INDOT.

As for Interstate 465, drivers should expect nightly single- and double-lane closures on both the eastbound and westbound lanes between Interstates 65 and 70 this week. Closures are expected between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night, INDOT officials say.

Starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday, intermittent 20-minute stoppages will occur on I-465 eastbound between White River Bridge and Mann Road as crews work overnight to deliver construction materials.

Crews are also working to repair potholes and could cause intermittent lane closures or traffic stoppages on asphalt portions of I-465. Emergency repairs will be made during the day, while other repairs will be made at night with overnight lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m, according to INDOT.

All road work is weather-dependent and could be delayed due to inclement weather.
