Senate welcomes local students to Statehouse

Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray welcomed Greenwood residents Brooke Ault, a Center Grove High School student, and Mark Boye, a Roncalli High School student, to the Statehouse when they served as Senate pages.

Pages spent a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

Graduates gain experience at Statehouse

Jackson Barrett and Archit Malik are serving as interns for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the legislative session.

Barrett, a resident of Greenwood, graduated from Center Grove High School and is a junior at Indiana University studying management and organization.

Malik, a resident of Greenwood, graduated from Center Grove High School and is a senior at Purdue University Indianapolis studying computer science and quantitative economics.

As legislative interns, Barrett and Malik track bill data, provide constituent services, staff senate committee hearings and meetings and conduct legislative research.

Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end by March 14.
