Center Grove guard Lilly Bischoff was one of 18 girls named to the Indiana Junior All-Star team on Monday. She will be part of the six-player Red Group, which will join the six players in the core group for a June 2 exhibition against Kentucky’s Junior All-Stars at a site to be determined.
Bischoff averaged 11.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and a team-leading 5.7 assists this season while steering the Trojans to a 27-2 record. Center Grove put together a 20-game win streak before falling to eventual Class 4A state champion Lawrence Central in a semistate championship game.
The six selected as core players were Addison Baxter of Columbia City, Jaylah Lampley of Lawrence Central, Maya Makalusky of Hamilton Southeastern, Monique Mitchell of South Bend Washington, Meredith Tippner of Noblesville and Brooke Winchester of Warsaw.
Joining Bischoff in the Red Group are Lily Graves of Franklin Central, Ellie Richardson of Scottsburg, Aniah Smith of Avon, Gabby Spink of Gibson Southern and Leah West of Greensburg. The Blue Group, which will team with the core group in a June 5 game against the senior All-Stars in Kokomo, are Laila Abdurraqib of Lawrence Central, Addie Bowsman of Twin Lakes, Kenzie Garner of Sheridan, Avery Gordon of Brownsburg, Kira Reynolds of South Bend Washington and Vanessa Wimberly of Lake Central.
