Franklin

Battery

2101 Commerce Parkway: A man reported at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday that his coworker had head-butted him in the face, while he was wearing a hard helmet, causing injury to his nose and mouth area. The coworker was later arrested on a charge of battery.

Criminal Mischief

2660 N. Morton St., Foxes Den Self Storage: A complainant reported at 6:49 p.m. Wednesday that he had video of a man trying to break into his RV. The man was later found in the wooded area next to the Fox Den Storage and was arrested on criminal mischief, possession of narcotics, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and several other charges.

Fraud

1000 block of Lochry Road: A man reported at 9:22 a.m. Wednesday that someone he was talking to on Facebook was trying to steal his personal information.

Property-damage crash

1:40 p.m. Wednesday – U.S. 31 and Mallory Parkway

Thefts

2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: Loss prevention employee reported at 4:31 p.m. Wednesday that a man had skip scanned several items and left the store. He was later located and issued a summons for theft and trespassed from the store.

150 Umbarger Lane, Quality Inn: A man reported at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday that someone had gone in his room and stolen several items out of his window.

Criminal Mischief

900 block of London Lane: Reported at 8:01 a.m. Wednesday that damage to a vehicle had occurred.

Fraud

898 E. Main St., Valle Vista Hospital: Reported at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday that a possible fraud had occurred.

2:58 a.m. Wednesday – S. Emerson Ave. and Paradise Court

9:23 p.m. Tuesday – Elmwood Lane and Schuttler Drive

8:23 p.m. Tuesday – Worthsville Road and Eastwood St.

2:37 p.m. Tuesday – County Line Road and State Road 135

11:08 a.m. Tuesday – N. Graham Road and Commerce Parkway W. Drive

11:05 a.m. Monday – State Road 135 and County Line Road

11:25 a.m. Sunday – 1251 U.S. 31 N., parking lot

10:34 a.m. Saturday – S. Park Drive and S. Park Blvd.

Thefts

1133 N. Emerson Ave., Walmart: Reported at 5:36 p.m. Wednesday that a man attempted to steal over $630 worth of merchandise. Employees confronted the man and were able to get all the merchandise back, then the man fled the scene in a white vehicle.

1000 block Kendrick St.: Reported at 5:31 p.m. Wednesday the theft of over $900 worth of floor decking had occurred.

800 block of Kings Mill Road: Reported at 12:03 p.m. Wednesday that a theft and criminal mischief had occurred.

1000 block of Kendrick St.: Reported at 8:13 a.m. Wednesday the theft of siding from a construction company had occurred.

Johnson County

Fraud

1000 block of Raver Court: A man reported at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday that he was contacted by someone he thought was from the Department of Defence telling him that his name was part of a identity theft and that he needed to send Bitcoin money to two different locations to clear up his name. After he did, he was disconnected and unable to contact the person, he then realized it was a scam and was scammed out of over $16,900.

Narcotics

N. State Road 135 and Fry Road, Greenwood: A officer reported at 12:26 a.m. Thursday that during a traffic stop for not having a license plate the driver fled the officer, the vehicle finally stopped and the driver was said he did not stop because he had an out of county warrant. The driver was arrested on several narcotic charges, resisting law enforcement using a vehicle and a out of county warrant.

David Anthony Michael Stitzel, 32, Edinburgh; arrested on a Johnson County warrant; held without bond.

Joy L. Wade, 49, Indianapolis; arrested on a Johnson County warrant; released on $300 bond.

Samuel Quevedo Mendoza, 27, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license; released on $250 bond.

Datavia Michelle Johnson, 24, Indianapolis; arrested on warrants for failure to appear in court; released on $571 bond.

Timothy Brian Hall Jr., 32, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of probation violation; released on $250 bond.

Douglas E. Corl, 29, Martinsville; arrested on a Johnson County warrant; released on $494.50 bond.

Joel Alan Clark, 34, Shelbyville; arrested on charges of criminal mischief, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, false identity statement, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia and wanted on two out of county warrants; held without bond.

Adam K. Yarbrough, 35, New Whiteland; arrested on a charge of battery; held on $2,000 bond.

Rodrigo Cruz, 23, Edinburgh; arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license; held on $1,000 bond.

Richard Allen Benedict, 39, Danville; arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia, resisting law enforcement using a vehicle, possession of paraphernalia and wanted on an out of county warrant; held on $10,800 bond.

Nicholas Blair, 23, Columbus; arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated; held on $1,000 bond.
