Johnson County GOP to hold biggest Lincoln Day Dinner yet

Big-name speakers will make this year’s Lincoln Day Dinner the most successful ever, according to the Johnson County Republican Party.

This year’s speakers will be Donald Trump Jr., son of former President Donald Trump, as well as U.S. Rep. Jim Banks, R-Indiana, who is running for U.S. Senate. The sold-out event is scheduled for Tuesday evening at The Garment Factory in Franklin.

With almost 500 attendees, this will be the largest event the Johnson County Republican Party has ever hosted, said Beth Boyce, Johnson GOP chair. The event sold out in six days and surpassed fundraising goals set by the local Central Committee, she said in a statement on the event.

Boyce said the speaker list “underscores the significant influence that Johnson County plays within the state of Indiana and among conservative voters.”

The success of the fundraiser shows local party members are engaged this election, she said.

“The voters and party faithful in Johnson County are passionate about their love of our country and the support of our party,” Boyce said. “We are thrilled to welcome Congressman Banks and Donald Trump, Jr. to our 2024 Lincoln Day Dinner to speak to our attendees about the desperate need to get our country back on track and elect Republicans up and down the ballot and re-elect President Trump. We are so excited for a memorable evening and thank everyone for their strong support of our party.”
