Work on the I-69 Finish Line Project continues on the southside this week.
Perry Commons Avenue at Old Southport Road/Winslet Boulevard was expected to close to traffic Monday evening for up to 45 days. The closure will facilitate rebuilding the road, according to an Indiana Department of Transportation update.
During the closure, all local traffic must use Perry Commons Boulevard at Harding Street to enter and exit the neighborhood. After this work is complete, the Perry Commons Avenue intersection will reopen to traffic and construction work will begin on the north side of Old Southport Road, according to INDOT.
On Interstate 465, drivers should expect a single lane closure on eastbound and westbound I-465 between Interstate 65 and Interstate 70 from 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday for bridge deck construction activities. Nightly single- and double-lane closures at various locations on I-465 eastbound and westbound are expected between I-65 and I-70 Tuesday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction work, INDOT officials say.
All road work is weather-dependent and could be delayed due to inclement weather.
