Candidates U.S. Sen. Mike Braun; Brad Chambers, former president of the Indiana Economic Development Corp. under Gov. Eric Holcomb; Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch; Eric Doden, former president of the Indiana Economic Development Corp. under Gov. Mike Pence; former Attorney General Curtis Hill; and Jamie Reitenour; have all agreed to take part in the debate set for April 23. The debate, which puts voters first by giving them the opportunity to pose questions, is sponsored by the Indiana Debate Commission.

The debate will take place before a live audience from 7-8:30 p.m. April 23 at Hine Hall Auditorium on the IUPUI campus, 875 W. North St., Indianapolis. Jon Schwantes, host of PBS’s “Indiana Lawmakers,” will moderate, according to an Indiana Debate Commission news release.

The last debate of the primary election season, it will be livestreamed on the commission’s website. The debate will be available for any broadcast outlet that wishes to air it, the news release says.

The nonpartisan, nonprofit commission has conducted 24 debates since 2008. It plans to sponsor debates among candidates for governor and U.S. senator in advance of the Nov. 7 election, the news release says.
