Aspen Creek Grill plans for Greenwood restaurant to open in November

A new restaurant offering “comfort made food” will open on Greenwood’s north side later this year.

Aspen Creek Grill is planning to open an estimated 7,050-square-foot location at 1133 N. Emerson Avenue, north of the Walmart just south of County Line Road. Fishers-based Ultra Steak, Inc. came before the Greenwood Board of Zoning Appeals on Monday to request variances for their new location’s exterior design, which were approved.

Ultra Steak, Inc. is also responsible for the chain’s first Indiana location in Noblesville, which opened in 2015, according to a press release. Aspen Creek Grill also has locations in Texas and Kentucky.

The restaurants feature scratch-made, “comfort fresh food” that is prepared daily with a variety of choices, their website says. These choices include “premium Black Angus hand-cut steaks, freshly chopped salads, house-smoked ribs, creamy pastas and hand-crafted burgers.”

Other menu items include fried mushrooms, shrimp, chicken, pork, fish, sandwiches and burgers. There are also numerous sides and deserts, like sweet potato casserole and fried cheesecake, their website shows.

Aspen Creek Grill also offers a full bar and daily beverage specials, featuring freshly squeezed lime margaritas, specialty drinks and craft pints on tap, according to their website.

Their restaurants feature a full-service, casual dining experience with “an ambiance of a relaxing mountain lodge,” company officials say. This ambiance includes rustic barn woods, soft lighting and upbeat classic rock hits.

An opening date for the Greenwood restaurant was not discussed at Monday’s BZA meeting. However, online job postings for kitchen and service managers say the opening is expected in November, with the managers being trained at the Noblesville location “immediately.”
