Columbus library hosting Comic-Con

The 8th annual Comic-Con is sponsored by the University Library of Columbus and the Bartholomew County Public Library will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event is larger this year and will have 52 vendors and exhibitors, books, food trucks at both locations and entertainment.

They will have a karaoke dance party with Barbie, a talk about the eclipse by a physics professor, a Special Effects Makeup demonstration, a free photo booth, a talk about how to develop your own game, a Kendo sword demonstration, Different Drummer Belly Dancers, the Threepios band of Cyborg-human musicians, cosplay contests for adults and children, a children’s story hour, virtual reality glasses, a Lego village and vintage electronic games.

Free and open to the public. The event will be at Moravec Hall, 4475 Central Ave., Columbus at Ivy Tech and the Columbus Propeller, 4760 Ray Boll Blvd., next to the Columbus Municipal Airport.
