Johnson County business news: April 6

The RoomPlace liquidation sale begins

The RoomPlace Furniture and Mattress Indianapolis is going out of business and will permanently close six stores in Indianapolis as part of a reorganization process.

The chain’s final liquidation sale began Thursday with “once-in-a-lifetime” furniture sale prices, the company said in a news release. The going-out-of-business sale will take place at the locations in Plainfield, Carmel and Indianapolis — including one on the southside at 7609 Shelby St., Indianapolis.

The RoomPlace representatives say the permanent closure of these stores is leading to “remarkably deep discounts” across showrooms for a complete sell-off of merchandise and inventory. Mattresses and furniture are available for purchase, including sectionals, recliners, dining sets, outdoor furniture, home accessories and more, according to the news release.
