Warriors blank Grizzly Cubs

Freshman Jordyn Crouch struck out nine while pitching a three-hitter, leading Whiteland to a 3-0 victory over Franklin on Tuesday. Gracee Whitaker had an RBI triple for the Warriors (4-5, 1-3 Mid-State), while Sara Small had two hits for the Grizzly Cubs (4-4, 2-3).

Greenwood edges Decatur Central

Winning pitcher Courtney Hankenhoff knocked in a run to help herself pick up a 3-1 win over Decatur Central. Hankenhoff scattered six hits and a pair of walks while striking out four for the Woodmen (6-2, 2-0 Mid-State).

Whiteland holds off Franklin

Brody Williams drove in three runs and Peyton Dickens went 4 for 4 as Whiteland held off a late Franklin rally for a 9-7 triumph on Tuesday. Dickens, Jordan Palmer and Blake Riddle each scored a pair of runs for the Warriors (6-2, 3-2 Mid-State), while the Grizzly Cubs (3-4, 1-2) — who scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to make it interesting — got two RBIs apiece from Landen Basey and Trevor Launonen.

Woodmen overwhelm Hawks

Greenwood rolled to a 12-2 win over Decatur Central. Eli Mason drove in three runs for the Woodmen (3-5, 2-1 Mid-State), while Ethan King went 4 for 4 in support of winning pitcher Cade Kelly.

Boys golf

Greenwood tops Braves, Lancers

Greenwood got a 36 from Kaden Rowland on Tuesday while defeating Indian Creek and Edinburgh at Timbergate. Brayden Chase (41), Jahlen Burton (44) and Davis Arthur (45) rounded out the team scoring for the Woodmen, who posted a 166 to beat the Braves by 22 and the Lancers by 36.

Warriors get into win column

Whiteland earned its first victory of the season on Tuesday, dropping just four games in a 5-0 sweep of Columbus East. Candace Stephenson and Rowen Starns were singles winners for the Warriors (1-6), Kinsey Shipp and Cathy Nguyen won at first doubles and Namjeet Kaur and Karley Hoagland followed suit in the No. 2 doubles spot.

Lancers swept by Dragons

Edinburgh came up short against New Palestine on Tuesday, dropping every set in a 5-0 setback.

Grizzly Cubs sweep Warriors

Franklin was a 25-20, 25-21, 25-14 winner at Whiteland on Tuesday night. The Grizzly Cubs improve to 16-5 with the win, while the Warriors fall to 10-9.
