MARTINSVILLE
Donald D. “Don” Crews, 87, of Martinsville passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Franciscan Health Mooresville.
He was born on Monday, May 18, 1936 to the late Archie and Dessie (Secrest) Crews in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Don was a part of the National Guard. He married Martha Lou Musgrave on August 23, 1957. Don worked as a salesperson selling shoes and cars. In his spare time, he collected angels for his daughter, LuAnn.
He is survived by his three children, LuAnn Crews, Penny Ladyman and husband Dan, Eric Crews and wife Tracey; grandchildren, Jessica Sawyer and husband Paul, Brandon Ladyman and wife Erica, Makayla Nenedjian and husband Quinton; great grandchildren, Riliegh Sawyer, Adrianna Sawyer, Weston Nenedjian, Willow Nenedjian, Isaac Ladyman; sister-in-law, Judy Musgrave; numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lou (Musgrave) Crews, who passed away March 25, 2019; parents, Archie and Dessie; brother, Max Crews and wife Marjorie; brother-in-laws, Boyd Musgrave and his wife Madonna, Merrill Musgrave.
Visitation is 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Keenan Steinway officiating.
Burial will be at Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Waverly.
