Eclipse aftermath: Event organizers, business owners invited to share their story

The Daily Journal is surveying businesses, organizations and non-profits that put on total solar eclipse events or offered paid parking.

We are calling many people throughout Johnson County, but can’t reach everyone. That’s why we are hoping you’ll reach us.

We want to get a picture of what turnout was like around the county and see if attendance on the day of the eclipse and the weekend prior met expectations.

If you’re a business, we are curious to know what your sales were like and if your investment panned out as expected. If you closed off your lot to offer paid parking, how did that go?

If you’re a church, school or nonprofit, did you raise as much money as you had hoped? Did any investment you put in to entice eclipse viewers pay off?

To share your experience email Editor Leeann Doerflein at [email protected]. In your message tell us a little about your experience and share a phone number so we can follow up if needed.

Any comments shared could appear in a story to be published early next week.
