GREENWOOD
Madelyn ‘Lyn’ Templeton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, went to be with Jesus her Lord at the age of 84 on Monday, April 15, 2024. She was born on August 18, 1939 in Campti, Louisiana to Allen P. and Pina E. (Wages) Moody.
Lyn was a wife to Robert “Bob” for nearly 62 years, and together they raised three girls. She walked with Jesus in life and loved helping others do the same. She served in Bible Study Fellowship for many years and was a Biblical counselor with Rod and Staff Ministries.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Templeton and children, April (Mike) McCracken, Brooke Templeton, and Lindsay (Bret) Hardin and grandchildren Brant, Carson, Bryn, Carys, and Emery.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Allene DeWald, Florence Janson, Floy Smith, and Chris Ritchason.
A celebration of Lyn’s life and open sharing time will be conducted on May 9, 2024 at Crosspointe Community Church, 1222 Demaree Road Greenwood, IN 46143 with visitation hours from 1-3 pm and service starting immediately after. Please come and celebrate the work the Lord has done in and through Lyn’s life.
