WATCH: GOP candidates for Indiana governor debate

Five of the six candidates for the Republican gubernatorial nomination will debate tonight.

The debate will take place before a live audience from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hine Hall Auditorium on the IUPUI campus, 875 W. North St., Indianapolis. Jon Schwantes, host of PBS’s “Indiana Lawmakers,” will moderate. The debate, which puts voters first by giving them the opportunity to pose questions, is sponsored by the Indiana Debate Commission.

Candidates Brad Chambers, former president of the Indiana Economic Development Corp. under Gov. Eric Holcomb; Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch; Eric Doden, former president of the Indiana Economic Development Corp. under Gov. Mike Pence; former Attorney General Curtis Hill; and Jamie Reitenour have all agreed to take part.

U.S. Sen. Mike Braun, also a candidate, was initially set to take part in the debate. However, the commission was notified late Monday that he has to be in Washington D.C. for a vote on Tuesday.
