SSG Hotels broke ground in late April on a new Greenwood hotel.
SSG is a family-owned, Lafayette-based leading hospitality management company. It’s latest project is an 86-room Staybridge Suites by IHG in Greenwood, located at just off the Main Street exit on Interstate 65 at 1475 American Way. This marks the company’s second Staybridge Suites hotel.
SSG officials say said the hotel will combine the latest Staybridge Suites prototype with locally inspired aesthetics for an “unparalleled guest experience.”
Staybridge Suites is an all-suite extended stay hotel that provides elevated residential experience with hotel amenities including complimentary breakfast buffet, light bites and a happy hour, pool, fitness center, outdoor patio area, and a business center. The hotel is also pet friendly.
The company was inspired to invest in this Greenwood property after meeting with city and Aspire Johnson County officials and seeing “unprecedented levels of growth in business and leisure sectors” with the city.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and vitality of Greenwood,” Vipul Patel, an owner representative, said in a statement on the project. “This project reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality while fostering positive relationships within the communities we serve.”
