Franklin College holds commencement for Class of 2024

Callie Crossley, a television and radio broadcast journalist in the Boston area, delivered the 2024 commencement address at Franklin College and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.

The college conferred 194 undergraduate degrees and 28 graduate degrees.

The ceremony was held in Spurlock Center Gymnasium and was live streamed on the college’s website. Franklin College President Kerry N. Prather offered remarks to the Class of 2024. “From this day forward, you will represent the 190-year legacy of Franklin College. You have earned that distinction. What you owe to this institution in return is a commitment to share your talents with the world to carry forth the ideals and values you learned or refined here. We expect you to continue learning; to think broadly and deeply; to speak knowledgeably, honestly and humbly; to act decisively but thoughtfully; and to lead confidently, ethically and fairly.

Nolan Cook, the Senior Class Speaker, was chosen for the distinction by his peers. The top five majors in the graduating class were business, exercise science, psychology, biology and elementary education.
