Adelaide Thomas, 80, of Greenwood, passed away on May 26, 2024. She was born on June 18, 1943 in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
Adelaide had worked as a school teacher in Ontario, then in 1984, Adelaide became a United States citizen.
She retired from IPL. Adelaide lived a very loving relationship with her husband, Ben. They were married for 47 years.
She was an avid reader, and a member of the Moose Lodge.
Adelaide is survived by her husband, Ben Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Adelaide (Johnson) Francey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 1:30 pm until the time of service at 2:30 pm at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1605 South State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road, Greenwood, IN.
Adelaide will be laid to rest in The Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery and Mausoleum Park, Greenwood, IN.
