Jeffery Dean Taylor

GREENWOOD

Jeff Taylor, age 57, went home to Jesus on Saturday, May 25, 2024 surrounded by his family. Born September 02,1966 in Indianapolis to parents Dean and Joan, Jeff grew up in Lizton, and graduated from Tri-West in 1984. After graduating, he started his own trim business, Interior Trim Design. Jeff then owned Taylor’s Pride Custom Homes for over 25 years, serving families in central Indiana. Jeff met Kari in 2015, and they were married on January 13, 2019.

Jeff was a believer, and he always showed the love of God to others whether it be fixing a house, teaching someone how to fish, or telling a story. Jeff was a longtime member of Impact Christian Church where he and Kari attended. When he wasn’t working, he loved to do everything the Luke Bryan song encapsulates: hunting, fishing, and loving every day. Jeff was a Semi-Pro Bass Fisherman and had recently bought his only granddaughter, Eleanor, her first fishing pole. His favorite times were being with family through Sunday night dinners or hanging out at their cabin by a campfire. Words cannot express how hard he loved and how well he cared for others.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents: mother (Joan), stepfather (Gary), and stepmother (Jonelle). Jeff is survived by his wife (Kari), 5 sons Brandon (Lauren) Taylor, Joshua (Elmar) Reyes, Nathan (Chelsea) Chapman, Jared (Kailee) Turner, Andrew Turner, 1 granddaughter, Eleanor, father (Dean), and sisters (Cindy and Debbie).

A visitation will be held Monday, June 3 from 4-7PM with a funeral to follow at Impact Christian Church in Franklin. In lieu of donations, the family politely asks to consider a donation to local/global missions through Impactfranklin.com, give, Jeff Taylor Missions Fund, or by check to Jeff Taylor Missions Fund/Impact Christian Church.
