Charles Hestand

GREENWOOD

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Hestand, who transitioned peacefully on May 27, 2024. Born on December 21, 1939, Charles lived an extraordinary life filled with love, resilience, and dedication to his family.

Charles was a beloved husband to his wife, Linda Hestand (Wright), who he leaves behind. Their unbreakable bond and partnership have always been an embodiment of devotion. Married for 62 years, the couple shared numerous life adventures, precious moments and built their beautiful family together.

Charles was also a devoted father and grandfather, survived by his sons, Daniel and Troy Hestand, and his daughter, Reneissa Fischer (Hestand). He cherished his role as a father, instilling in them the values of integrity, hard work, and kindness. Charles’ legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and their stories will forever carry his memory.

Words cannot adequately express the depth of sorrow we feel for the loss of our beloved Dad, Papaw and Pops. Charles had a remarkable spirit that brought joy and warmth to those around him. Throughout his life, he was a beacon of strength and positivity for his family. Despite our collective grief, we find comfort in the memories we’ve shared, and these will forever remain etched in our hearts.

As we mourn Charles’ passing, we also celebrate his life and the profound impact he made on us all. We invite those who knew Charles to join us in honoring his memory and reflecting on the adventurous life he led.
