3 arrests made at Franklin spas with ‘questionable business practices’

Three women have been arrested so far in Franklin Police’s investigation into local spas with “questionable business practices.”

Two of the women arrested were initially charged with public indecency — aiding prostitution, while the other woman was charged with public indecency — prostitution.

Franklin Police have received numerous complaints and have already spent countless hours of investigation into the business practices of three massage parlors within the city.

FPD and assisting agencies on Thursday morning began serving search warrants at seven locations within and outside the city. The locations are homes and businesses associated with spas that are under investigation, said Kirby Cochran, police chief.

The Franklin businesses under investigation are:

  • The Sunshine Golden Spa, 799 W. Jefferson St., Suite B
  • Sun Health Spa, 50 West Jefferson St.
  • Hong Kong Massage & Spa, 1178 N. Main St.

Search warrants for the locations were obtained after hours of investigatory work and support from the Johnson County Prosecutors Office, Cochran said. Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Bargersville Police, Greenwood Police and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police helped serve warrants in their coverage areas.

Further information on the complaints leading up to the investigation will be shared as the investigation progresses.
