Franklin Police are investigating three local spas for “questionable business practices.”

Police have received numerous complaints and have already spent countless hours of investigation into the business practices of the three massage parlors within the city. Franklin Police this morning began serving search warrants at seven different locations within and outside Franklin that are associated with the businesses and people who own them, said Kirby Cochran, police chief.

These warrants were obtained after hours of investigatory work and support from the Johnson County Prosecutors Office, he said.

Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Bargersville Police, Greenwood Police and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are helping search the different locations.

The Franklin businesses being investigated are:

  • The Sunshine Golden Spa, 799 W. Jefferson St., Suite B
  • Sun Health Spa, 50 West Jefferson St.
  • Hong Kong Massage & Spa, 1178 N. Main St.

Franklin Police will continue to work with the prosecutor’s office to ensure that these businesses work within the scope of the law.

Further information related to arrests, continued investigation or additional locations will follow as the investigation and warrant service continues, Cochran said.
