Max Warner Wyrick

Max Warner Wyrick, 91 of Franklin, Indiana passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at his residence at Morning Pointe of Franklin.

He was born March 24, 1933, in the Banta Community of Union Township, Johnson County, Indiana to Harley W. Wyrick and Neva Bell (Perry) Wyrick. He married Patricia A. (Earles) Wyrick on March 11, 1955, at the Banta United Methodist Church in Banta, IN; she preceded him in death on May 15, 2004.

Max was a 1951 graduate of Union Township School in Johnson County, IN and attended Purdue University. He was a United States Army Veteran having served from 1953 until his honorable discharge on January 21, 1955 with the rank of Corporal.

He had been a quality control associate for Arvin Automotive in Greenwood for many years retiring in 1988. HE later had been a loan officer for the Arvin Credit Union.

Max was a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge #107 and previously Bargersville Masonic Lodge #679 for over fifty years, the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, IN and Murat Shrine.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards and bingo with his friends at Morning Pointe.

Survivors include his daughter Belinda Briggs (Scott) of Franklin, IN, his son Mark Wyrick (Sandra) of Greenwood, IN, his grandchildren Oreina Sawyer of Greenwood, IN, Missi Harris (Cody) of Hohenwald, TN, Matthew Wyrick (Emily) of Chicago, IL, Marissa Wyrick of Hohenwald, TN, Carrie Briggs of Greenwood, IN and Jennifer Bjerregaard (Jeff) of Greenwood, IN, his great grandchildren Ella, Addie, Connor and Corbyn Harris, Nolan and Carly Bjerregaard.

He was preceded in death by his Wife Patricia A. (Earls) Wyrick, parents Harley W. Wyrick and Neva Bell (Perry) Wyrick, brothers Forrest Wyrick and Marshall Wyrick, his sister Ruby Barger.

A service will be conducted on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 12 Noon at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN with Franklin Masonic Lodge #107 conducting and following with Pastor Kevin Whitaker conducting. Services will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/maxwyrick. Friends may call Monday, June 10, 2024, from 10AM until service time at the mortuary. Burial will follow the service with military honors being conducted the United States Army Honor Guard and Franklin American Legion Post 205 Honor Guard at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
