FRANKLIN
Donald “Don” Gast, 69 of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
He was born on July 25, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to Mary Elizabeth Gast. Don married Leah Ann (Blackwell) Gast on August 18, 1995. She preceded him in passing on February 13, 2020. He is survived by children, Kristopher Gast and Morgan McDaniel (Ryan); step-children, Jeremy Akers (Angie) and Carrie Nelson (Jeremy); grandchildren, Jozey, Cole, Jacob, Sidney, Gracie, Ben, Jr., Terry, Matthew, Isaiah, Faith, Paige, Evan, Jon and Zoey and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his mother and wife, Leah Ann.
Don retired after twenty plus years of dedicated service from the Columbus Fire Department as a Firefighter and a Paramedic.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Assembly in Franklin.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held on June 30th at 6:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Assembly, 201 E. Madison Street, Franklin, Indian 46131 with visitation from 4:00 p.m. to time of service. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
