Here’s what’s going on with I-69 the week of June 17

Lane and ramp closures are planned on Interstate 465 this week as work continues on the I-69 Finish Line Project.

A double-lane restriction with 20-minute stoppages is set for 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. tonight on westbound I-465 from Interstate 65 to U.S. 31/East Street. This is for paving upgrades and drainage work, according to an Indiana Department of Transportation update.

Starting at 9 p.m. Tuesday and lasting through 8 a.m. Saturday, westbound I-465 from I-65 to U.S. 31/East Street will be reduced to two lanes for paving upgrades, according to INDOT.

From 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, double right-lane closures are planned between I-65 and Kentucky Avenue/State Road 67, as is a full closure of Bluff Road under I-465 from Thompson Road to Hanna Avenue for overhead bridge demolition. There will be a detour in place during the Bluff Road closure that follows Thompson Road and Hanna Avenue to Meridian Street, INDOT officials say.

Additionally, the southbound U.S. 31/East Street ramp to I-465 westbound remains closed into summer. Harding Street under I-465 will also be reduced to one through-lane and one left-turn lane for the remainder of 2024, officials say.

All road work is weather-dependent.
