GREENWOOD
ImaGene C. Holder, 93, of Greenwood, passed away on June 19, 2024. She was born on April 19, 1931 in Evansville, IN to the late Edward F. and Ida (Schauss) Schweikhart.
ImaGene loved gardening, canning, sewing and crochet. She was a member of the South Side Turners and on their Bowling Team. ImaGene loved to watch football and was a huge Colts fan.
ImaGene went by many names: Mom, Grandma, Grape Grandma, The Bean, Lima Bean, The Enforcer, Sweetie Pie and Imy, and she was loved by all.
ImaGene is survived by her children, Pamela Altmann, Cathie (Jim) Spain, and Larry Holder; grandchildren, Jessica Montgomery, Jennifer Ernest, and Courtney Quasebarth, Jeremy Spain, Amanda Spain, and Ashley Hall, Jake Holder, and Shianne Holder; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Holder; and brother, Charles Schweikhart.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. A funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 11:30 AM.
ImaGene will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood Fire Station 91, 155 E. Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46143.
