Police Incidents

Franklin

Hit and run

77 W. Monroe St., Ann’s Restaurant: Reported at 11:58 a.m. Wednesday that a car had possibly hit another car in the parking lot before leaving the area. Officers responded and found damage consistent with a side-swipe on a white van in the parking lot. An employee heard the accident and saw a white SUV, which was parked next to the van, leave shortly after. Officers reviewed nearby security footage which showed the accident occur and the SUV leaving the parking lot. Additional security footage tracked the vehicle leaving the downtown area. The SUV has yet to be found.

Juvenile problem

W. Jefferson St. and West St.: Reported at 8:52 p.m. Wednesday that a juvenile was threatening someone with a knife. An officer responded but was not able to find the juvenile at the scene. The officer went to the juvenile’s home on the 300 block of Johnson Avenue to speak with another juvenile who was involved. That juvenile said a kid in a white truck had called him a name, and after exchanging words, the kid pulled a knife on him. The juvenile did not know the kid, but knew someone else in the vehicle. An officer eventually located the witness and the kid who allegedly pulled the knife. The kid denied pulling a knife on the juvenile. No one was injured, and the kid said he would stay away from the juvenile.

9:25 a.m. Wednesday — Paris Drive and E. King St.

5:48 p.m. Wednesday — S. Morton St. and Schoolhouse Road.

5:52 p.m. Wednesday — 50 Branigin Road.

Greenwood

Vagrancy

W. Fairview Road and N. State Road 135: Reported at 11:48 a.m. Wednesday that vagrancy had occurred. Officers found that a panhandler was not engaging in any illegal activity.

Criminal mischief

3100 Meridian Park Drive, Kroger: Reported at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday that criminal mischief had occurred.

Theft

300 Marlin Drive, Menards: Reported at 3 p.m. Wednesday that theft had occurred.

Investigation

Fry Road and N. State Road 135: An officer responded to a call for investigation of storm clouds at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office told the officer there was no signs of rotation within the storm.

Suspicious person/circumstances

1251 N. U.S. 31, Macy’s: Reported at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday that a suspicious person/circumstances had occurred in the parking lot. The area was found to be OK. A vehicle was secured and did not appear to have been gone through. Its owner was unable to be found.

Personal injury crashes

12:51 a.m. Wednesday — S. Graham Road at access road. A woman, 35, reported an abrasion to the face. The other driver was uninjured.

Property damage crashes

7:56 p.m. Monday — Interstate 65 off ramp at Worthsville Road.

2:21 p.m Tuesday — I-65 off ramp at E. Main St.

Johnson County

Indecent exposure

Pennswood Road and Wakefield Road, Greenwood: Sheriff’s deputies responded at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday to a possible indecent exposure on the 5000 block of Wakefield Road. It was reported that an Asian man had pulled down his shorts while standing next to a woman who was on a walking trail. The woman said the man was in front of her and had pulled down his shorts, exposing his buttocks, but was covering his genitals with his hands. The woman walked around the man who allegedly was still walking behind her. The woman ran across the street and the man continued down the opposite direction down the trail. Another woman observed the incident while driving by and checked on the safety of the first woman. Deputies found the male suspect near Smith Valley and Morgantown roads, and he denied pulling his shorts down or urinating during his walk.

Livestock

7195 S. Kern St., Hoosier Horse Park office, Edinburgh: Reported at 12:06 a.m. Thursday that a livestock-related problem occurred.

Bryce S. Day, 18, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of operating with a controlled substance in body; held on a $1,000 bond.

Michael Laquean Daveon, 24, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of driving a motor vehicle while suspended with a prior suspension in the last 10 years; held on a $1,000 bond.

Pierre-Louis Doodley, 21, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without ever obtaining a license; held on a $1,000 bond.

Thomas J. Burtt, 21, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of invasion of privacy; released on a $250 bond.
