A temporary road closure is planned for State Road 135 in Greenwood next week.
In partnership with Johnson County, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced Friday that Milestone Contractors is scheduled to reduce southbound State Road 135 to one lane at Fry Road beginning on or after Monday to complete additional work over Pleasant Run Creek located on Fry Road in Johnson County.
The southbound lane closure will take place from Fry Road to just north of Fry Road and is expected to be in place for up to three days, weather permitting. Message boards and traffic barrels will be utilized throughout the lane closure, according to INDOT.
This project is part of a contract awarded to Milestone Contractors in February. INDOT officials remind drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones.
All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
