GREENWOOD, IN
Jill Ellis King of Greenwood, IN passed away on June 26, 2024 at the age of 66. She was born to Stan and Marlene (Blessing) Ellis on June 23, 1958 in Indianapolis, IN. She was a graduate of Whiteland Community High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Indiana University. She worked as a paralegal and supervisor at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for over 26 years before working as a supervisor at the Indiana Department of Child Services, Child Support Bureau for 15 years before retiring in 2023.
Jill is survived by her son Darren (Crystal) King of Greenwood; daughter Courtney King of Indianapolis; grandchildren Layton King, Dylan Burrous and Kelsey Burrous; brother Eric Ellis of Whiteland.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 2pm-4pm at Jessen Funeral Home &Simple Cremation in Whiteland, IN. Memorial service will immediately follow at 4pm. There will be no gravesite services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
